Hot to hot wire chain link fence?
Question:hot do i hot wire chain link fence and can i wire it as to the whole fence is hot damn crack heads and thieves keep steeling everything and anything and just dont stop cant protect house 24 seven maybe this will put a lil shock in to them

As someone just said you would have to insulate the whole fence to do that. I would suggest a camera and either video them or take their picture to prosecute them. A scouting camera takes pictures of everything that moves for under a hundred bucks. If at night they would see the flash and the camera would have to be some place they could not get at. or either real or dummy cameras might solve the problem too.
I hope you catch them and get them off the street.
thats against the law in most states.why not lock things up to keep people from STEALING, and how do you know it's 'crack heads' ? Maybe it's your neighbors or someone who doesn't like you...don't judge everyone, or anyone.
Many states now have a "shoot first" law. Check with your sheriff. You may can just kill them. If you have that law in your state, you can not be prosecuted. At least call the police every time something happens. You want to establish a record with the police just in case.
I live in Alabama. We are protected by the state law if we have to kill an intruder. We can not be prosecuted.
Being as the fence is most likely grounded, it could be a little tough to make it hot. You'd have to isolate the mesh.
