How would I route coax cable from a 2nd story attic to the first floor?
Question:The route I need would be through interior walls. The attic space is above the 2nd story. I'd rather not remove sheetrock to route the cable. I'm wondering if there is some tool that would help.

Do you have duct work or vent (plumbing) pipes in your walls, you may be able to fish alongside of them, a piece of sash chain on a string is what I have found to work best to fish these type of jobs. Otherwise removing a small piece of drywall at the floor of your 2nd story is easy to fix. Remember to make it big enough to fit a drill in. Make a clean cutout and you'll be able to use your cutout to patch the wall.
yes you would use fish tape or a flexible rod. Chances are you will hit a fireblock and have to drill through it. Tools can be bought at any Lowes or Home Depot
Answer one has some valuable clues, and certainly removing some drywall will be neccesary at the point where you wish to use the Coax.
I recently saw a demo on This Old House, using a long, flexible bit on a drill to get through the horizontal cross braces, and obviously you should be aware of any other electrical in the wall where you want to drop a new line, as well as any plumbing.
The Fish Line will eventually be your path of feeding, and line of sight to the end of the FISH line at the point of Coax connecting.
