??decorating my house?

Question:i moved to a new rental house and the front room is soooo ugly, THe wall color is green and the carpet is to. It does have a nice fireplace tho. but my couch does not go with anything in the front room, i have a orange couch mix with white and peach colors. what can i do to make this look good?

Answers:
If you don't feel like painting the room another color, try adding some accent colors like a natural light brown and a cool blue for a soft and relaxing look.

You can cover the green carpet with a natural brown woven rug and I would replace the couch. But if you don't have a lot of money to spend, buy a slip cover in white and finish it off with pillows in different shades of blue.

You can bring attention to the fireplace by hanging a painting or photo of a nature scene - something with trees or flowers to complement the color scheme.

The first thing I can recommend is paint. If you are allowed to paint the room, a can of paint goes a long way, and can drastically change a room. If painting is not an option, you need to pull the room together with an area rug, large pictures on the walls, throw pillows on the couch and accessories to make the colors either blend or compliment each other. Believe it or not, the ugliest clashing colors can look nice together with the right accessories. Good luck!
