How much could I buy wood for?

Question:I want to find out how much money it'd be to build a club house that's 10x7x7 (490 ft cubed). I just want to know the price I'd have to pay for the wood alone. Anyone that could help me would make me pretty dang happy.

not enough info

Your question is extremly hard to answer. First is the wood itself are you using pine or hemlock and what type of shething wood were you planning on using? Are you using 2x4 or 2x6 are you using plywood or boards for sheathing.
If price is a primary consideration I would consider salvaged wood as it can often be found in local thrift or used items papers with classified ads published locally and reduce cost significantly
It would be best to check with a local home improvement center. The price of wood goes up and down, due to the amount of demand on the market. The price of wood in my area of the country may not be the same as in your area of the country.
Some of those home improvement centers can even give you an estimate for all of the materials you may need.

I had to come back, I almost forgot to say that there is a price differance between types and grades of wood.
My suggestion is that you create a design. It does not need to be work of art, just a sketch that shows what you want when you are done. Normally the rough carpentry, framing would include such items as floor and roof joists, maybe ceiling joists, exterior skin such as plywood, beams underlying the floor joists that might sit on top if posts dug into the ground as a foundation, possibly a door made of framing and plywood. Any exterior finish such as shingles, siding, windows. Interior finishes such as drywall and flooring and any hardware such as a doorknob. Once you have decided on what you want, do a material take off and delineate how much each item you need such as two by fours, plywood, 2" by 6" beams etc. Take the list to the home center and price the items multiply by how many you need, add some for waste and this is a ballpark number of how much it will cost. Actual cost will be more because of mistakes, changes and improvements .
try this it will give you a rough idea. it gives a complete material list the you can simply go to HD or Lws and price the material

You've got a few more things to consider in your cost, namely a foundation system and a roof. The lumber for the walls and roof should run you about $150 or so for this size. Add another $100 for your floor joists and subfloor. $70 for a concrete block foundation with piers. Roof decking and shingles will run you about $150. Throw a pre-hung door on for $125 and a window for $100. Add another $60 for hardware and fasteners. Assuming you have all the tools you should be able to do the whole thing for $750 or so. This is of course a very rough estimate and will vary widely with materials pricing and construction methods.
