Digging up the ground for a pool?

Question:I have a 12 foot, 3 foot deep above ground pool that I would like to put up. Now the area its going on is pretty level but just a slight bumo here and there. Do I just mark the ground and completely dig up all the groung to make it even... or is there any other ways?

Please and Thank...

The very best way you could do this would be to mark out area, level, and then cement the area. But if your not wanting to do that, you can hire a small digger which would save your back. Whatever way,you will need to level the ground. Have you thought where the water will drain to , when you empty it?That is a consideration. In my neck of the woods,we can't drop water anywhere, because of Chlorine content. It has to drain into a proper drain. Plus it needs to be fenced off,so small kiddies can't fall in.Have fun and Good Luck!

Before setting up an above ground pool you would want to completely cover the area with clean several inches thick. This cushions the bottom of the pool for comfort and to keep the pool from getting damaged by small rocks or anything else that tear the bottom lining. You could then level the area with the sand. The sand will also prevent anything from growing underneath.
