Is it possible to convert a wallair conditioner to a window unit?
Question:I have an ge 10000 btu wall air conditioner, but nowhere to put it. I'd rather not make a hole in a wall if I don't need to. If there's a way to convert it somehow to a window unit (even for summer months only), that would be great.

I did this very thing. It didn't look that great, but it worked.
I used a piece of 3/4 plywood, cut it to the size of the window and cut in a hole for the a/c. Painted the plywood white for looks and protection. I used elbow brackets (lots of them inside and out) to secure the plywood to the window casing. Calked it up real good and it worked very well for a season.
Definitely not a long term solution, but it saved me from installing central air for two years.
Be careful how you attached the plywood to the window/house as you could mess up the window pretty bad if you put the screws in the wrong places (like the window tracks).
I dont think so
