Casement window help?
Question:hey. how to you take the part of the window you crake open, the part that swings out, off? I need to take this off to put a/c in because i do not want to buy slider a/c's or portable.

They just unscrew, top and bottom, from the sash or the frame.
I've never done it myself, but i think that there should be screws on each side that you would just loosen. They usually open like an accordian{that may not be the right description} so they would be attached to the window on both sides.
I work at a home supply type store and we have gotten replacements of these for people so there has to be a way to get them off that is not to hard.
The specifics are different for different brands of windows, but generally there should be some sort of clip at the end of the operator arm that you can remove -- look for a clip on the piece that slides at the end of the arm. If you could identify the brand of your window, you may get more specific instructions.
