Is it hard to put on wallpaper?

Question:I'm pretty handy but have never done it before.

Answers:
It's not hard but it can be a bit fiddly. It's best if you can watch someone who is proficient do a whole job if you can so that you can see what the issues are and how to tackle them. in the meantime check this guidance:

It can be a little tricky if you have never done it before, but not really that hard if you are comfortable with home improvement work. There are pretty good instuctions available from home improvement places where you purchase your supplies. Make sure you use sizing on the wall before you start and have the appropriate tools - razor knife, brush, sponge, etc. Match your pattern and leave an extra inch or more both top and bottom that you will then trim away with a razor knife and straight edge. A new blade on your razor knife for about every 3 cuts helps alot. Border paper is much easier to work with for a first project.
Its really easy to put on a wall paper on your desktop. Left click on a picture you wish to display on your desktop before pressing save picture as. Double click onto a file onto a spare file then left click on a the empty tesktop and click on properties(it will be located on to bottom). View the toolbar and select the background before clicking browse and selecting the file you saved your picture on and press ok to display the background.
not hard but takes practice to do quickly. The key is hanging the first piece plumb, then the rest will be plumb.
If you're handy, go for it, but I gave up years ago and hired the job out. Wallpapering takes a patience I don't have. On the surface, it would seem hanging the paper shouldn't be a problem, but when you get to doing it.well that's where it all falls apart. First you have to be aware of the "match". If that is tight, you'll be measuring, cutting, and lining up a lot. Then there is the texture of the paper. Foils and others are more difficult to hang as they crease a lot.a lot!! And even though most papers don't require paste, if you don't use it the paper may peel. If all of this sounds like fun to you.take it on.
