1 answer, 2 easy steps. Steam it and apply pressure. Repeat the process until its of the desired shape. Good luck
prop one end up and put enough weight where you want it bent without breaking it and let it sit for a day or so
Make a frame the shape you want the wood, but make it in such a way that you can clamp to it. If you don't have a way to steam it, put it in very hot water for a while and then start bending and clamping to the frame.
The best way is with steam. It's called "steam bending." the magazine "Fine Woodworking" has had several articles on tips. Try a woodworking shop for a copy. Basically, You need to build a form, for the work to have something to flex to fit into. This is made of 2X's, with plenty of open space for the steam to come through. The work piece spans the form, and a weight is placed on top, to encourage bending. You need a heat source. I've used charcoal. You need a water reservoir to make steam. The coal heats the water into steam, which rises through the form, softens the work piece, which bends.
