Can i paint Hollow Moulded panel doors?
Question:
Answers:
yes , with a oil paint
Clean them well, and they should take almost any paint. Ask at your paint supply house for their recomendation.
With no offense Hollow core/molded panel doors are popular, and no more difficult to paint than any other.
I begin with the insides of each panel, working one panel at a time. The trim of it first then the panel of it. As I work I make sure to maintain the brush strokes either horizontal or vertical where each main section meets another,,,ESPECIALLY if there is a faux grain imprinted.
Work from the inside outward, from top to bottom or vice versa is your choice.
The paint choice is yours as well. Exterior can be oil or latex. Interior I always use latex.
If there is hardware attached, IE: Hinges door knob, dead bolts, I tape them off with blue painting masking tape.
Use a quality brush and paint, and you should have no trouble at all.

of course, be sure and leave the door open when you paint, and until it drys.
