I am building a pond what gives the best results butyl liner or pvc polyester reinforced liner 20mtrs x 30 mtr

Question:

Answers:
Well, on Ground Force, they always use Butyl liner, so personally, I'd go for that.

butyl, definately. the PVC will go brittle in the sun or near the surface of the pool.

Be warned, it weighs a lot. This weekend i put in a 7x8 mtr liner and it weighed 85 Kg, so you'll need help manouvering it.

line the pool with soft sand, felt or loft insulation first. I use loft insulation all the time now, never had one leak on me. Its dearer that the other 2 but seems to work fine.

With a pool that size, have you thought of clay ? I did one last year that was te same size and 4 mtrs deep and used puddle clay. Its sealed fine. Initially we had a minor leak ( inch per week ) and introduced a few fish, they grubbed around the silt and it self-sealed.
GRP - Glass reinforced polyester. Easy to install around any complex shape or structure - available in any colour and extremely durable.
