I have two sites identical power & equipment manufacturers?
Question:One site reads 16 ampere on the neutral. The other site reads 0 ampere on the neutral. Which site is normal and has a ground fault. What needs to be done for repair.
Answers:
The other case is that the GFCI was wired backwards(grounds and neutrals reversed). If that is not the case turn the power off for the one reading 16 amps and check the neutral again. It could be getting its power from a differant circuit. If it stills shows power have a friend stand at the panel box and turn off and on each breaker until you can ID the circuit. then start chasing it down for the problem. If this sounds to much call a reputable electrician and the cost will be by the hour. Good Luck!

The Neutral should be at ground potential and read zero. You have an open neutral line, a very dangerous condition.
