My computer chair squeaks?
Question:What can be done to help it or make it stop?
Do not tell me to buy a new chair.
Answers:
Spray WD-40 at the joints under the chair. If you have any doubt as to where the joints are, feel free to spray everywhere above the wheels and below the chair, then just wipe off the excess. Right after spraying get into the chair and make it move in every possible direction to work the lubricant in.
It should be fine after that.
WD-40 works wonders
If you have some oil laying around, for sewing machines or firearms that can work also. Just apply generously and it should be fixed in no time.
Well, most chairs squeak where the center shaft attached to the actually seat, up underneath. Sometimes it can come from where the backrest attaches to the seat. Listen close and try to isolate where it's coming from. Then apply your lubrication.
Good luck.
jig-a-loo is the bomb diggity
Spray WD-40 right where the metal meets the fabric area under the chair.

Spray WD-40 wherever it moves. That is where the squeak is coming from.
Remember the golden rule: If it does not move and should, use WD-40. If it does move and should not, use Duct Tape.
Apply 3-in-1 oil to all moving parts.
