I am trying to put up a ceiling fan. what wire to you connect the blue wire and the green wire to.? I need hel

Question:

Answers:
Black to black
white to white
green to the ground wire
Blue is the wire to light switch if you have seperate switch for light and fan power. It should be fourth wire coming out of ceiling. Mine was red

the green is your ground wire. there should be a green grownd screw on the fan, if not just loosen one of the screws in the metal box and wrap the some exposed green wire around screw and tighten. White goes to white and black and blue goes to black. if you have a light kit on your fan the blue is what brings power to the light. if you dont have a light kit or your not going to use it, you dont need to hook it up to anything, wrap the end up with electrical tape so it doesnt short anything out.
blue wire connects to the light kit
black wire connects to fan
green wire connects to bare ground
White to white = neutral
Green to bare wire = ground
Black is power to fan, blue is power to light. If you have 3 wires plus a ground, it would be blue to the red, black to black. If you have 2 wires plus a ground, it would be blue and black to black.
the blue wire is connected to the lights, and the green wire is your ground wire, connected to bare copper wire.
