What gauge wire is used for the power supply for a fifth wheel rv?

Question:

Answers:
That isnt going to be enough information. I would need to know what size service it was gonna be. I'm just going to guess that its going to be 100 amps. If so, I would use a 1/0 aluminum wire. Its actually good for 125 amps. You can use a smaller wire in copper but its hella expensive. I work at a supply house in my hometown, and you should contact yours if you have any more questions.

Depending on the length of the circuit, not over 75'.

30 amp service: #10 conductors to the receptacle, w/ 8/3 cord from the RV

50 amp service: #8 conductors to the receptacle, w/ 6/4 cord from the RV

Cords have lesser ampacity because they have multiple current-carrying conductors all insulated together.
