Does anyone have the dimensions for a Washers Toss Game Box w/ a tin can in the center of the box?
Question:I am interested in making a Washers/Texas Horseshoes box and I forgot the dimensions of the box. I know the last time we made them we used 2x4s for the sides and plywood for the bottom and a tin can in the center of the box. I need the dimensions in order to purchase the wood.
Answers:
Well part of that is dependant on whether you want a square box or the modified octagonal box (8 sides).
The square box is obviously easier to construct and the standard size is: 20" x 20"
For an 8-sided box the standard size is: 135 degree angles with sides measuring 8"each
For both, the can/PVC in the middle should be: 4" in diameter
the height should be: 4" all around
and the washers should be: 2 1/2" in diameter with a 1" center hole
Also, the standard distance is: 21 feet apart from center to center
