Scratches on toilet porcelain?

Question:Long story...basically some loo paper caused a blockage. I sorted that out but being the cack handed male I am, I have scratched the 'U' bend. It looks horrid now with black scratches. Anyway of fixing this? Please help!

Answers:
if its was a metal object you used, you neednt worry, if you can suck out the water with a wet vac or syphone out the water from the bottom of the pan,, if you cant do either,,,, just soak up with a sponge.
you can purchase a special rubber from selective plumber merchants that will take of all those "scratches" witch are really only metal deposits.
it will take a bit of elbow grease,, but dont give up,, it will work.

yes, get a new loo!
So that kebab did come back out then mate? lol
Instead of the rubber from the plumbers merchant (They are quite expensive) you could try using tooth paste on a cloth and elbow grease! Or any other slightly abrasive cleaner.
jim m is spot on and no the magic rubber is not expensive about £3.
Other people are right in that it is unlikely you have scratched the glaze, merely put marks on it.
Any abrasive that is harder than the mark but softer than the glaze will do.
Good old Ajax... car cutting compound eg t-cut etc
Caustic soda may sometimes work
Keep trying --Good luck
