Answers:
Use a little dish washing liquid in a bucket or warm water.
i use windex
use bleach and a dirty towel that has dirt on it (thats a car wash secret)
Go to any store (walmart, target, Sears, etc.), go to their automotive section. There will be an aisle w/ soaps specially made for washing cars. If you use other soaps, they may not be strong enough to clean the car, or they may damage the paint or windshield.
Also (I didn't believe it at first) dryer sheets. Spray down the car and then use the dryer sheet as a washrag. They are especially usefull at removing lovebugs.
Fist, rinse off all the dirt with clean water.
Next, make sure you wash in the shade or the minerals in the water and detergent will etch the paint surface.
Buy a soap specifically designed for cars as dishwashing soap strips your paint of any wax, can leave an undesirable residue and may damage type paint. You wand a soap with sheeting action. In other words the water will not bead but allow it to sheet off. This leaves little film and is easier to dry.
To dry I use a clean California squeegee and 100% cotton terry cloths. NO polyester in the towel's content as it will scratch the paint.
To remove the wax of your choice use high quality microfiber towels.
Use a very mild soap like you can get at any car parts place or even Wal Mart has it specially made for car washing. If you use a strong soap like you use in the home normally, it can dull your finish or even destroy it. Use of strong detergents and other cleaners will destroy the finish if used a lot too. I have repainted many cars from the use of these harsh cleansers over many years.
lemon joy works very well it removes the dirt and oils that your car picks up from the hi ways, and it leaves your car smelling lemon fresh and squeaky clean. also when cleaning the dash and door panels use lemon oil or pledge.
I have used them all, and honestly, you'd be hard pressed to find something to beat Murphey's Oil soap. It cleans very well, and after you're done, it shines like it's been waxed !
