What is the best product I should use to get scratches out of the wood on my furniture?

If you are just trying to "hide" the scratches, the Old English polish is the cheapest and easiest route to take. You can buy it in several different shades and can be found at Wal-Mart with the cleaning supplies for under $5. Another easy alternative is a marker, they actually make special markers for this, but if you have a sharpie at home that matches, then color that scratch! The true markers made for this can also be found at Wal-Mart with the painting supplies.

I like "Old English" furniture polish.
Apply any brand of shellac or varnish, and then buff with steel wool for shellac; soft cloth for varnish.
Minwax makes a good product. It is stain and polish combined. Ive used it successfully many times as a scratch cover. Remember, always buy a shade you think is a little bit too dark.
