Casement window help...again?

Question:yes well i have asked many casement window questions so far..about taking the swinging window off. People have been telling me that i have to unscrew the metal arms from the window but how do i do this? There are no screws theyre just these flat things..no screws. can somebody explain this in detail??
Thanks so much.

Answers:
if this ia a newer Vinyl window it may just have flat arms that are riveted together inside the casing, in which case you will more than likely have to consult or hire a representative of the manufacturer do the labor (that's one way they get you in the pocketbook). I know some milgard and alpine windows are constructed this way.

Replacing the window may be easier, and at times almost as cost effective.

The "flat thing" is usually called a push bar. If it isn't screwed in, then it is probably held together with a pop rivet. You can drill the pop rivet out. Your local hardware store will sell a pop rivet tool and the pop rivets.
I'm a little unclear hear. Are you trying to remove original window and replace it or are you trying to repair existing window.
