Answers:
the top half of the combo one side is the hot screw (on all of the time) the opposite side is the switch leg (that will go to the other outlet you want to switch) the wires incoming will tie together (black to black) and pig tail one to the hot side of switch the other hot wire to the plug

On this type of outlet the line wires will connect to the outlet black to hot side of the gfci

from the 'load side of the gfci will connect to the line 'hot' side of the switch this will protect the outlet you want switched down line be sure to septrate the netural line on the load side of the gfci from the netural of the outlet downline as this netural will ONLY connect to the load side of the netural load that you are switching hope this is not to tech wish i could make a drawing would be much simpler

be sure to turn power off safe at all times

Try reseting the GFCI trip switch that is in the middle of the switch that has no power.
