Pluming washer and dryer moved up to kitchen, pluming cost?

Question:I want the washer and dryer upstairs, has anyone done this and what will it cost, are you glad you did it..where shouldnt I put it?

Answers:
you will not regret putting it upstairs. if you have a nook that they will fit in, near the bathroom, or room in the kitchen, then do it. try to be near existing plumbing if you can. mine is in a nook just outside the bathroom. kitchen is not the best place, in my opinion, but near it is ok. you know your house so YOU have to decide that. Be sure that you are where you can easily run the 4 in. duct outside. no sharp corners if possible. hope it helps.

taking laundry up and down stairs sucks
I did mine, as a matter of fact I plumbed my whole house. cost? to many factors to say, best to get estimate from 3 plumbers. You will need access to H&C pipes somewhere in house along w/ drain of at least 3". And the dryer vent 4" needs to go outside.electrician needs to run wire/ gas line if gas dryer.
I wouldn't recommend you doing your own plumbing as you don't even know how to spell the word in the first place. Have you thought about installing a laundry chute instead?
