Most Garden Centers Sell An Organic spray that actually freeze the WASPS instead of a chemical spray..
Number 1 rule of eradicating WASPS is to get rid of them at night, once they have all returned to the nest for the day...They will also be less likely to become outraged, leading to the eventual attack.Good Luck!
Very carefully
My recipe for yellowjacket pie: find the nest, and bake at 2300 F until well done. A propane torch works well.
Shoot them with a BB gun, or knock down the nest and run like h#LL. I don't think you will be able to use a mixture that is home made because you won't be able to get close enough to apply it. Once you have made them mad they will be all over you, and that could be bad. The environment is important, but you need to protect your self. You may want to buy the wasp/ hornet spray. It's good up to 20 Ft. Good luck.
I have done this. It works.
Find the wasps' nest.
Run an extension cord out close to it.
Plug in the shop vac.
Rig the hose and as long a wand extension as you can.
Switch on, and hold the wand tip very near the wasp nest, moving it around gently.
As the wasps approach the tip to sting, they get sucked down the black hole making a neat little rattling sound.
In about 20 minutes the nest runs out of wasps - who are all now buzzing around inside the shop vac.
The shop vac can now demolish the nest, or suck it off the building.
A shot of wasp killer up the hose, then switch off, with a cloth in the end to prevent escapers crawling out.
any paint store has wasp and hornet spray...and it shoots atleast 20 feet...soak the nest real good with the stuff and around the area of it before going for the entry. it works for me and i haven't yet been stung doing this process. (but then again i'm ready to run and hide at the slightest buzz)...
