How do I clean out bottom and sides of an artificial pond?

Question:I want to suck ot the debri that accumulates on the plant shelves that the filter won't clean. Such as rock sediment, rotten leaves, etc. I don't want to empty it out because I have plants and fish and don't want to disturb the ecosystem that's established.

Answers:
Get a catfish. They eat anything on the bottom and they clean up very well.

Get yourself a sump pump from your hardware store and connect a hose to it. Pump alittle out at a time and use a hose to rinse off plants ect. check with your local pet store to see if there are water conditions that will need to be added for your fish. I think it might take alittle time but will pay off. This is how I treat my little back yard pond. Don't plant a Willow tree next to it as I did. Get yourself a cheap pool net to remove leaves and bugs.
with an artificial vaccume. just kidding. i'd get some carp, catfish, and /or plicostamis. they should stir up the water so the filter will get it.
