How do I keep my safety goggles from fogging up?
Question:I do my woodworking in my garage so there is no climate control. When I am trying to work and get hot and sweaty my goggles fog up and so do my glasses. This happens within seconds of putting the goggles on. It takes a minute or longer to happen during the cooler weather. How can I stop my goggles from fogging?
Answers:
you can buy this anti fogger spray at any sports store in the swim section
Oddly, clean them with your own spit.
i've heard to spit on them thats gross but it works i think maybe its only in a swimming pool.
you can buy an anti fogging solution at your local swim supply store. I'm pretty sure speedo makes some. I'm not sure if it necessarily works outside water, but you should try it and see.
I think I heard somewhere that if you add a bit of Vaseline or petroleum jelly on the inside of the goggles it prevents fogging. It's also safe for the eyes (though I wouldn't put it directly on them :-)
That used to happen to me all the time and my dad said potatoes are good thing to use so i tried it and sure enough it worked for me
honestly I have no idea if this works but when you use shaving cream on a mirror in the bathroom it keeps the mirror from fogging when you take a shower. So you could try cleaning the inside with it ( I would try a small area just incase it smudges since its different) again just a thought lol.
go to your auto parts store and pick up some anti fog. it also works great on your bathroom mirror and your car windows. well worth the $3 or $4 and it will last you years
have you ever tried a face shield wont bind your glasses and has better ventilation.
Here's a suggestion: Put an air conditioner in your garage...
I got tired ot this happening to me -- so I just purchased/use safety glasses.
It relieved the fogging and the feeling of entrapment.
They make you look a heck of a lot better too -- they look like sunglasses.
Cheap liquid soap...shampoo.etc...
Apply Rain X (can be purchased at any automotive store or Walmart. It comes in liquid or wipes) to you glasses and goggles. Also enlarge the holes on the side of your goggles for added ventilation, and to have the vapors to escape.
