Laser...?

Question:I have this cheap laser pointer (~ $30) from RadioShack. I wish to modify it, but I cannot remove the actual laser and microchip from its encasement. I've seen many where the top screw out, mine doesn't. Any suggestions as to how I might go about removing it?
