I would like to extend my current 10x10 patio to about 20x25 ft. I live in Dallas, how much would it cost?
Question:to have the cement poured by some guys who do it for a living? The end purpose is that I will be putting down tile myself over the entire patio.
Answers:
be careful here
"some guys can get you in trouble"
1- permit
2- inspections
3 -passing inspection
4-bootleg it and hope your neighbor or the milkman dont turn you in
5-tricky to add on and keep it added on--it may look good but if not done right it will heave and bust anything you have on top- a couple months after you pay some guys and they are gone
you need a reputable contractor here--might be required
Just call a couple concrete places, given them the volume of concrete you need, in this case just under 10 cu. yards, and they can quote you a price. You'll also need site prep, rent a Bobacat for 1/2 day, then the rest is from Home Depot, forms, about 70 lin. feet of 2x6, and, of course, 1 or 2 of the guys standing out front to do the work.
u allready have a 10x10 pad so to make it 20 x 25 u need 400 more sqft. that is 5.5yds of concrete. id say u can get it done in the area of $2000-$2500
