Looking to re build my wood burning fireplace how would I go about it.?

Question:

Answers:
do you have a fire place insert ? i have disassembled mine and replaced the brick in it and some of the front facial panels etc... but to totally redo is going to be one hell of a project. If I was going to redo it all I would rip it out and replace with a more efficient wood stove. best thing i could tell you is to take pics as you disassemble it so you remember how it goes back together especially if you have to order parts so it will be apart for awhile before reassembling...good luck mate..

thats a loadedquestion. just the face? or the face and firebox? dude fireplaces are nothing to mess with if you are on here asking questions. people die everyday from fires. so call a professional. and just because he says hes a bricklayer doesnt mean he knows how to build a fireplace. ask for references, seriously...
I would rip it out and replace it with a gas fireplace.
Do you mean re-build the fire box?.(yellow brick that line the inside) the mortar missing or falling out? or the whole thing chimney and all?
