Question:
Answers:
you can get the serial number off the back and call the company that Made it.
But otherwise i think you will have to cut it off.. sorry
have someone grab you a bolt cutter and start again! sorry! We have all been in your shoes !
there is a video i saw, sorry i cant find it, but if you do a quick search, type in how to open master locks, or whichever lock you have, there are videos that may help
Is the lock locked into something u need to open?
If no, I suggest throwing it away.
If yes, then consider cutting it with a BRC cutter or oxy-acetylene flame if possible.
Final Option - Tedious and Time consuming
Else, Try to remember how many digits is combination and what numbers.
List in a column on a paper all the starting numbers, starting "0" ending at "9".
Start from most likely starting number if you can remember, else start from "0".
Increase 1 number at a time until all combinations tried. You will finally get the correct number.
Please note that some locks, especially when old will be a bit stiff, so try to open properly before going to next number or you might miss it.
Remember to write it down when you open it finally!
Good Luck!
A large bolt cutter or hacksaw works well
Obviously a bolt cutter will work, but without knowing the urgency of your situation Talk 4 Now has the better answer.
The lock manufacturer, given the style and serial number will clue you.
If you don't have that kind of time to wait, then a Bolt cutter will cost something, as well as a new lock will.

bolt cutters have always worked well for me
i would use a big chisel and hammer. or maybe a recip saw! or best yet BOLT CUTTERS! or if you wrote down the manufacturers instructions, you could call them and ask for the combo. but who would do that? so the correct answer is.bolt cutters! GL with it and sorry for your prob, (next time write down instructions and lock them in the safe DUH!).
usually you can take it to a locksmith or have one come to you and the serial number will allow him to back track the number
If the value of the lock is not worth saving - a good metal cutting blade or a chain link cutter should do the trick, If that is not practical - drill through the lock and using ever increasing bits make the hole larger - soon you will see a release mechanism which you can release with a strong screw driver. short of that -- try some plastic explosive
sometimes if you hold pressure against lock by pulling the arm and turning the dial at the same time you can feel the tumblers when they reach the point that they will open. record the numbers and try the different combinations.
