Question:
Answers:
all you have to do is fill the ditch or whatever your making your drain out of with large rocks so that the water can flow through the gaps! and you must make sure that it has a gradual decline or you will just make a small pond!
Buy French drain parts, then, drink a sh*tload of wine, after that, be arrogant to the parts, and then, surrender to Germany.
It is as simple as that.
I hope this helps

"Typical" french drain construction, at least in the state of NC, consist of using 4" perforated pipe in a 16" deep by 12" wide ditch. There should be a minor slope to the drain but the slope does not need to be steep. Place 4" of aggregate whether 57 stone, ABC or AB (Aggregate Base (Coarse)), or whatever else, on the bottom, lay the pipe and surround it with stone. Cover the pipe over by four inches. Fill in the remaining four inches with dirt. I have never had to use geo-textile material in a french drain in a residential application. Typically the outlet end of a french drain is tied into an existing drainage system, id est the drain pipes for roof gutters. It could be day-lighted but that tends to leads to lots of problems, many of them having fur or wings.
