How do I change a 4-prong dryer power cord to a 3-prong dryer power cord?

If is 240 volt you have 2 hot 1 neutral 1 ground .You need connect 2 hot together and plug in hot wire placed in prong .
Green wire always is ground wire.
I think, the old method was :
Hot - Hot - Ground
However, the new method is:
