My pool was drained complete and my filter was running without water?
Question:ok so so ma dad left the backwash on and we all left for the weeken. When we came back, to our surprise lmao the pool was empty. So he changed it back to the filter, i dont know what my dad is thinking but he forgot that the pool is in a timer so the next mornin I find out that the filter is runnin but there is no water, i touch the pipe and its hot but the filter was running that morning so i know that the ingine didnt blow or anything, I turned off the sirkut breaker so that timer wont turn on. anyways my question is what do i have to do next, I just finished filling my pool back with water ( cant wait to see my dads face when he sees the water bill lol), do i have to fill the filter w/ water too? or what do i have to do??
Answers:
You have to remove the air from the filter by bleeding it through a small vent valve on top of the filter. You can do this with the pump running and if the filter is below the level of the pool you can do it with the pump stopped.
