What surfaces will self stick tiles stick to?

Question:

Answers:
(1) Plywood. Surfaced plywood (s1s or s2s). (2) Concrete if it's been surfaced with epoxy. (3) Oriented strand board (OSB) if it's been allowed to out-gas for at least a year. (3) Old, dead @$$ flat vinyl, if it's stuck down tight. (4) Boards with no gaps, poly varnished.

I used a lot of self stick tiles in different projects.
Rule of thumb- if surface is rough- tiles won't stick long. Best surfaces are dry, clean, and very smooth!!
I put self stick tiles on uneven surfaces and they came off very fast. So make sure surface is very even as well.
Otherwise it doesn't really matter if it's wood or concrete.
If you want to make the self stick tiles last for a long time get some vinyl glue in a bucket and use it in addition to self stick tiles. Also fill out holes if there are holes in surface you want to stick tiles on.
