Crappy brown stains on swimming pool floor!.?

Question:I removed some crappy brown stains on sides of my swimming pool with muratic acid. How do I clean the same stains from the FLOOR of the pool without draining it?

Answers:
sounds like you have an algy problem check if your clorine level is ok and then get a good stiff brush meatl if you have a in ground pool and try to rub it out

Get one of those brooms that have the hose attached to it. Scrub the floor with it. It will also suck that stuff into the filter so it won't be floating around in the pool after it is broken up.
try a paste deterent on a stiff brush and swim down and scrub it off.
don't drain the pool for something so trivial as a leaf stain.
call your pool cleaning man

Brown stains with Muriatic Acid. First.. You dont say where the stains came from. Are they from Leaves that were in the pool from the winter? If so, a Good Shock treatment will take care of them. Muriatic Acid might also do the trick, But cost wise, you are going to spend alot more money having to neutralize the Muriatic in your pool. I wish i had more information. If the stains are RUST, i hate to tell you, But you are probably never going to remove the stains, short of emptying out the pool and replacing the plaster around the stain.. Also.. You did what we would call a suspended Acid Wash by adding the Muriatic, <and you didnt say how much you added, if it was just a tiny bit, or 10 gallons or the granular equivalent.> I hope you were not running your swimming pool equipment when you turned your water into a very acidic state. IF you have Nylon Mesh filter grids, or a Cartridge Filter, you could very well have damaged your filter grids.

If the Brown stains are from leaves, your best bet is a high concentration of chlorine Shock. If the Brown Stain is all over the pool, odds are your town water supply has Minerals in your water. Such as Iron or Manganese. Copper Stains are an Aqua Blue <ever seen a Penny or Copper statue that has that blue pitina to it?>..

Hope this helps.. If you have any other questions, feel free to email me.
