Is there ANY way to change the color of a Leather couch?
Question:I have a dark red (close to brown) leather couch. I really like it, but It clashes with a Bright shiny copper coffee table I was given. I LOVE the copper table, and think a black or dark brown leather couch would compliment it perfectly. Is there anything i can do to darken the red leather to black, without distroying the couch?
Answers:
This depends on what type of leather you have. DIY is not recommended for this type of problem although it is possible to have it professionally done. DIY kits off the internet are very rarely successful and can be very damaging so should be avoided. Also they do not work well and you will find that after a while the stuff will just peel off.
Call in a qualified technician. If you are in the UK LTT have qualified technicians throughout the country.
I would think you could stain it somehow. It probably depends on the type of leather it is made of. Call an apolstery shop and see if they have any advice.
