How to get rid oil on driveway?

Question:the oil has been there for about 2 months, and is it possible to clean it?? where can i buy the cleaner stuff?

Answers:
go to your local auto parts store and buy some absorb-oil, you may even find a driveway cleaner their too I find the powder types work the best but their hard to find, but as long as you put the absorb oil down first any type of driveway cleaner may work

Oh ya, piece of cake. Get a broom, a hose, and some powdered laundry detergent. Wet the area, pour out a scoop of detergeant and scrub with that broom. Then when you're done scrubbing, just rinse it away. My dad has been doing this for yrs, since I was a little kid. And now my bro is a mechanic and they use it at his shop. Cheaper than all that fancy stuff and works better.
common household dishwashing detergent or simple green and a pressure washer works the best
Try Dawn dish washing liquid. When we had an oil truck wreck and spill here in my city, that's what the emergency people used to get it off the highway.
you can go to any asphalt producing quarry, and get oil spot remover used before sealcoating driveways and parking lots or look up sealcoating supplies on yahoo you should be able to find it. Also oven cleaner works
A lot of ideas above are really good.

You could also get a power washer. Do the whole driveway and then do your house! Everything gets nice and clean at the same time.
when i was in the shackle business. similar to Amway only they specialize in vitamins..

. we had a product called basic I. (eye) dilute this 1 part to 10 parts water.. pour it on the stain and let stand over night.. next day put more on and mild scrub with broom and rinse off...
since the oil has been sitting for a couple of months, you may not be able to get the stain off completely. grind in some speedy dry (cat litter) with a pair of old sneakers (tennis shoes) or work boots. sweep it up, and then use a cleaner/degreaser on it and scrub it with a stiff broom. then rinse with water from the hose. you can use Castrol super clean, from an auto parts store, or Zep cleaner degreaser, (the purple stuff) from the home depot. this soap is very strong, so wear rubber gloves and goggles if you might splash yourself with it. it is strong enough to clean whitewall tires with just a sponge, and very little elbow grease, i use it to clean the engines on my cars and trucks. good luck, this is the best stuff that i know of for removing oil stains.
Tide soap. Let it soak and hose it off. Wet the serface, sprinkle the powder and let it sit, then hose it of before it drys.
I have had consistently good results with grease removing hand cleaner like GOjo or Orange Clean. Laundry soap has worked for me in the past but it seems the really tough stains come out with the hand cleaner.
P.S. FYI it is also the best for taking oil stains out of clothing try it...better than anything I have ever used. just thought Id mention that.
The best thing I've found for removing oil stains in driveways whether it's been there two months or twenty years is either automotive brake clean or a carb cleaner type cleaner in a spray can.

This may be more expensive than the tide or dishsoap idea but in my opinion much easier and does a way better job.

But there is a trick to it. Take a couple of paper shop towels, the blue kind you get on a roll, spray the cleaner on a small area of oil stained concrete like about 4" X 4" and take the blue rag and PAT, (this is the trick!) DO NOT RUB, the cleaner up. As the cleaner gets absorbed into the rag it will bring the oil up with it. Keep doing 4 X 4, or small areas untill the complete oil stain is clean, changing the rag frequently cause it will get oil soaked.

Be prepared though cause you will notice the area you've cleaned this way will be cleaner than the rest of your drive. Instance results and not having to wait days to wash it off.
boric acid (careful not to get it on you)
Car Dude is on the right track. After cleaning with a strong detergent, (to get the surface residue), grind in some mortar mix with a wood block from a piece of 2X4, and let it set for a day or two. Make sure no rain is in the forcast! You may have to repeat a couple of times. The purpose is to "wick" the oil out of the concrete. It may never look perfect, but it has worked well for me.
a product called TSP found in the paint aisle [at home depot]. sold in a small size milk-type carton; comes in crystal form, follow the directions to make a solution, pour on & scrub off. it is corrosive, so rinse well. not expensive to buy. [TSP is used to clean walls prior to painting]
use cat litter
if the oil id still wet the best way to do it is put sand on it and push it around the oil stain this will soak up the oil oil dawn dish soap and a scrub brush oil will eat the asphalt and make it very soft is want it to look good call a sealcoating company to get it sealed make sure they use a latex priner and let it dry before sealing it also make sure the use coal tar asphalt based sealer are junk they are cheaper but will wear fast and turn gray after a few months but coal tar stays black and dont wear fat at all.
It would have stained by now so forget all the handy-man products recommended to remove oil.
use caustic soda mixed with very hot water (be careful...wear protection ) and brush it into the stain well ,then let stand for about 30 minutes and wash off.
Then sprinkle a fair amount of dry cement over it and brush off.
Repeat the dry cement thing again if needed
