Need help!! Step by steps to lay down garden flags please!!?

Question:Hi can somebody with expert(ish) gardening knowledge please tell me step by step instructions of how to lay down fLAGS for a garden patio?

First of all measure area you want to lay.Remember are you going to lay them so that they all fit in? Or do you intend cutting side ones to fit? You level off area to be tiled. Put some fine gravel down first. Compact. This is usually done with a compactor from a hire center.You need a firm base or flags will sink.Then you put down a layer of sand.2inches high say.Lay your flags from center out to sides. If you have to cut them, you will need a tile Bolster and Mallet. Your hardware place will tell you how. After you have done the laying. make sure vthay are all the same height, with none sticking up.Then fill spaces with more sand, and when done water. This helps stop sand flying away.Keep brushing sand into gaps, and then brush off residue. Good Luck!
