(Not looking for innuendo :p) It looks well made so I don't want to discard it if it may come in useful. Thanks.

It's a threading die - used to create machine threads on a steel rod.
its called a die, used for restoring or cutting threads on tude/bolt
It's part of a tap and die set, to put the threads on SCREWS (fnarr fnarr) there should be some other parts to it to thread your NUTS (yik yik)
If you want to put a thread on something like a nut this is what you would use its called a diecut or diecast I think
its called a die, and its used for putting threads onto a metal bar... like a bolt thread.
That tool is used to cut new threads on a stripped bolt
Its called a "Tap Die" and its used to cut screw threads on metal rod. The rod is secured in a vice and this "Die" is turned, like a bolt, cutting the threads as it goes. Normaly three dies are used, one to provide the initial cut, then a second one that cuts deeper, and then the final die to give the high quality finshing cut.
This is the "female" part that cuts screw threads on a rod. There are also "mail" taps wich are used to cut screw threads in drilled holes. These are secured by a Tap Wrench and turned.
The whole set is called a "Tap and Die" set
the tool is a circular split die and a die stock.it is used for cutting a thread on metal rods or for cleaning existing threads.these are available in many different sizes.you can also get whats called a die nut does the same job but is hex shaped
looks to me like it's an old fashioned screw driver or turner of some kind.
It looks like an old craftsman pipe threader. Plumbers used them quite a bit before people started using plastic pipe.
Those sell well at garage sales. If you have more die sets, you should get about $40 to $60 for the whole set. The die sizes are 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, and 1 inch.
Hi Thats for putting threads on a peice of pipe. Or to straighten threads out.
Of course, it's a die and die holder for threading steel rod. I wouldn't discard it, you can send it to me anytime!
That is a dye wrench for rethreading bolts. The center is the dye itself an is removeable an will take different sizes. The one you showed looks pretty big like it may be for really large size bolts.I'm sure you've heard of a tap an dye set havent you? A tap is for rethreading the hole or nut the bolt goes in the dye is for the bolt itself.I would'nt discard it they are usally expensive.Sell it on ebay.
It is a thread cutting die in a tool handle. Usually, this tool is from a set, and you have only one or two handles and several dies for cutting the male thread and several taps for cutting female threads.
That is an easy one. It is the holder for a die. A die is used to make a thread on the outside of a steel rod or to clean up a damaged thread on a bolt. It has a wide opening and some wide threads to get started and then gets down to the final dimension of the thread after it has been turned a few turns. The die is in the center of the picture. All the rest is the handle you hold to turn the die which is clamped in the center-circle.
Unless you are going to cut a lot of threads like that do not bother to carry it around with you in your toolbag.
It's a Die (as in Tap & Die) for cutting a male screw thread. The inner part should have markings on it to say what size thread it cuts.

Hope that helps
its a die for threading a bolt, and handle . it will clean up the threads on a bolt also almost looks like a 3/8 size
It is a die in a holder. It is used to cut a tread onto a rod allowing a nut to be screwed onto it. The circular piece in the holder is the die and can be substituted for ones of different size and pitch to cut many thread sizes by loosening the three fixing screws.
