How do i refinish(seal multiple hairline cracks) in fiberglass bathtub?

Question:I have a leaking bathtub that needs fixing and I need some help!! I not too much of a plumber. I have located one leak right near the drain, but all the flooring underneath is wet. Which leads me too suspect there are more minor leaks. The floor of the tub is spider cracking in several areas. How do i re-seal the entire floor of the tub and what products are recommended. THANKS!

You can patch it up all you want, all those cracks are going to get bigger and bigger. Spend your money wisely and buy another tub...

call tub fitters, this one is not a diy, it will only cabbage the problem, and water damage is not good on the pocket book, call a professional on this one. you pay now, or really pay later
My suggestion is to go to your local depot and purchase the fiberglass kit. They have several sizes. Be sure the tub is fully dry before applying the kit to the tub or it will not last long. Also, make sure and do a wider radius from the cracks; at least 2 inches away because the cracks are going to continue to spread regardless.this will just give you a longer time to plan. BUT if you want to do it the best way, check out the steel tubs at Lowe's or home dept. They run as low as $109.00 (USA) and will last a lifetime. The only plumbing you will have to do (if you get the right size and direction, IE. right hand/left hand) is reconnecting the drainage. That's as simple as screwing the bottom in place.

Good luck...been there done that!
It's finished , throw it away
that spider crack " could be a sign of something not level" apply force toward the tub of away from the tub around the center of the spider. So it could be one end not level and the force is greatest at the center, result in the spider cracks. I'd just buy a tub and have a pro put it in and instruct them to pay extra attention to making sure it is level.
After all, the idea behind them is to distribute weight evenly so you should not have a spider crack - regular crack with age but spider sounds like force to me.
There are outfits that will come in and fix and recoat complete tub so it will look good . I can't say price in your area but it is less than fitters or new tube .
I had mine done $200.00
But if your drain is leaking also I'd have it checked first.
