I wear glasses, and I was spray painting with them, and little specs went all over the glass, how do I safely-
Question:clean them without damaging them?
Answers:
With something softer than the lens but harder than the paint. A clean fingernail works everytime for me. It's tedious but safe for the lens.
try some goo be gone or maybe some paint thinner would work.
use a diamond
little bit of paint thinner on toilet paper
Try rubbing alcohol and a soft cloth--if that wont work try acetone(nail polish remover)and a soft cloth
If they are glass lenses the paint thinner would work, but if they are plastic lenses paint thinner or acetone may damage the lenses, the non pumice "Go-Jo" hand cleaner will work and not harm lenes of either material.
Try rubbing with vegetable oil first.
The Diamond idea is just dumb - Diamonds scratch glass ( real diamonds).
To remove it just use Rubbing Alcohol, like was suggested. If that don't do it then go to the next level with 'Finger Nail Polish Remover." It will come off then, and will not harm your glasses.
Use your thumb nail, it won't scratch the glass.
Windex and a little "thumb grease" with a soft cloth - won't scratch the lenses, glass or plastic.
try wd40
It's kind of important to know what kind of paint it is, and what your glasses are made of. Look on the side of the can, it will tell you how best to clean up. If your glasses are glass, not poly-something. Then use goof-off, or Zippo lighter fluid.
If your glasses are poly-something, then find someone who has glasses made of the same material. Steal their glasses, and try the cleaning fluids like goo-be-gone, goof-off, and stuff like that. If the glasses melt, then don't use those cleaners on yours. You might have to steal several pairs.
It might be easier to just go buy a new pair of glasses, and switch back to the older glasses the next time you go tagging.
nail poish remover
