Questions About Mold?
Question:Does anyone know if using paint and primer with a mildicide is an effective way to prevent mold?
Also, is sodium hypochlorite (bleach solution) effective for killing mold?
Is there anything else you would recommend?

use oil based Kilz or other stain hiding primer. do not use the latex version. the oil base works well, the latex is useless.
Bleach does kill mold effectively
Keeping the area dry is the best mold preventative. If you have a moisture problem, the mold will find something to adhere to eventually. Solve the problem that is making the area damp. That's the best long term solution
mildicide is effective
but do not cover if you have a mold.

Yes, such a paint would help. And I use bleach all the time to kill mold. Just make sure not to get it on you.
