I need a cute way to decorate my room a little better?
Question:my rooms feeling a little dull. its purple with white trim. I have a white trundle bed with a bug net over it. i also have a white dresser and dest. I have a few posters up john lennon jimi hendrix and led zeppelin..some stars ..starry night..purple rug...well you get the point. i need a creative way to make it look cuter.

What about a paint technique in circles or cubes on one wall in colors in the same family as the purple.
Or add bold accents by using a complementary color - opposite on the color wheel. Opposite of purple would be yellow. But orange or light green would also make a bold statement.
Or you could use a softer lavender and free hand some whimsical wavy lines and curly cues going around the entire room like a soft breeze.
Consider going to a fabric store and buying several yards of very cheap satin fabric (I got mine for about $.50 a yard) in whatever color you think would go good. Purple and white sound like your present theme. Using the fabric, you can decorate the ceiling in the draping fabric and let it hang down the walls. I love the effect and have tacked up posters between the hanging sheets and even on the clothe to provide an interesting effect. Plus the cat loves dodging in and out of them.
Just a little inexpensive way to add a little puff of fun.
You could try a theme.
But if you do, dont go overboard because then it just looks too crowded and overloaded. But for example, maybe a beach theme?
You could draw (or buy, cut out from magazine, etc.) a picture of the beach, frame it and put it over your bed.
You could also get some shells and stick them around the room or in a glass container with some sand.
Decorate some picture frames with shells, sand and stones you found on the beach. (You could buy a cheap plastic lamp and decorate the lampshade with these too.)
Those are just ideas, you can try any theme you want.
The internet has tons of ideas for almost every theme too!
