I noticed a lot of stores don't call it axles. What are they called?
Question:I'm making a mousetrap car. I need an axle for the wheels. I looked at Home depot and Lowes and searched axles, but nothing comes up. What should I search, and what are they called?
Answers:
try searching online for go cart axles. I was able to pull up a bunch of options this way.
Home Depot and Lowes will not carry items like this, they do not have a large enough demand for this type of item.

I'm not sure what a mouse trap car is . If you are talking something as small as a mouse trap go to a hobby store.Or good toy store . A boy scout balsa wood racer kit will have them
If its go cart size look up go cart parts. Good luck
If its a big coaster car get round stock in diameter needed foe wheels , to use as axles
