My gravel driveway needs more gravel--30 yards long and 20 feet wide--add 3 inches of gravel--how much gravel?

a cubic yard of gravel is equal to about a ton and a half of gravel so ballpark would be 17x1.5 to order in tons.have the truck spread it as best they can and get a wheel barrow, shovel and rake and get busy <smiles>


90 feet x 20 feet x 0.25 feet = 450 cubic feet
450 cubic feet = 16 2/3 cubic yards
The delivery truck should be able to spread it out the length of the driveway as part of the delivery fee. It will be about $30-40 a yard here in Washington depending on the material you want.
