You can go to most craft stores, even some Wal-Marts carry stuff to dry flowers, after doing that I would put it in a small glass box maybe with your prom picture or program. You can box one of the boxes that mount on the wall like a shadow box. The flower preservative is some kind of granules that you bury the flowers in for a few days then shake off the excess.

i dont know about keeping it for a decor but you can keep it in the freezer for warm memories. you can also dry out and press in clear paper with a heavy book on top to flatten out then you can frame it
you can hang it upside down and spray it with hairsprai to dry it...or you can do the trditional flattening you flatten it in the pages of heavy book and wiegh it down with more books. this will flatten it and ry it out too. Women have been doing that for centuries.
It depends on the flower in the corsage. Roses and carnations will dry and keep nicely; lilies and orchids will not. If you live in a dry climate, or have a dry basement or garage, you can pretty much just hang the corsage (again, assuming it's a flower that will handle the drying) up, wait a few weeks, and it will dry into a lovely memento of its fresh self.
