I want to build a desk?
Question:I want to build a very simple desk in my closet. Any tips for websites to check out or simply just how to build it? Also, I'll need to know the tools. Again, very simple. Thanks! :-)

in a cubord, simple ok well what you could do is get some 2" by 2" and put it all around the outside of the cubourd by screwing it in, so you'll need a drill for a pilot hole and to coutersink the screws if your picking some screws and a saw and measure up properly and then put a square of wood ontop of that and glue it with wood glue and use a few tap pins to sequre it though you'll want to use smoething like pine for the top and when your done sand it all off start off with some p60 paper and then work up to something fine like p120 and maybe wax or vanish it
you'll need a saw, hammer, nails etc, wood glue you only need a small hammer and most importantly a tape measure nothing will be a lot of good with out one of them
Back in my younger days, the standard cheap easy desk was a shelf board resting on a couple of stacked plastic milk crates. They make those crates specifically for storing things these days so you don't have to steal them from the back of a grocery store. You can easily set something up like that anywhere including a closet.
I'D TAKE A PIECE OF PLYWOOD AT LEAST 1/2" THICK THE RIGHT SIZE AND CUT A 1X4 THE SAME LENGTH AS ONE EDGE OF THE PLYWOOD. WITH A COUPLE OF HINGES JOIN THE TWO PIECES TOGETHER AND THEN SCREW THE 1X4 INTO AT LEAST TWO OF THE WALL STUDS WITH SOME SCREWS SO THAT THE DESK CAN FOLD UP. HINGE A 1X4 OR TWO ONTO THE UNDERSIDE OF THE DESKTOP SO THAT THE DESKTOP IS SUPPORTED WHEN IT IS NOT FOLDED UP AGAINST THE WALL.
