How do I hook up a new washing machine?

If it is new in the box make sure to read the directions carefully to see if there are any shipping fasteners to undo before running the machine. Otherwise everything has been said.
Hot and cold water feeds (hoses attached to faucets with gaskets inside and tight); drain pipe (Hose on back of machine goes into); electricity (plug in ground plug); machine MUST BE LEVEL.
If there has never been a machine there, much bigger problem getting water, drain and elctricity to workl
assuming you are replacing an existing wahing machine then yes, it's very easy to do...just plug into electric socket, attach water feeds, insert drain tube into drain...voila!

on most machines, the hot and cold water lines are marked on the back of the machine. Just makes sure you have the rubber washer in each end of the hoses, hook them to the correct water faucet, insert the drain into the drain hole in the wall, level the machine ( yes you need a small cheap bubble type level for this) by using a pair of large pliers to unscrew or screw in the legs to bring it level. (Most places that you buy large appliances from will install them for free). Then plug in the power cord and off you go

you need;
1. water intake (2 hoses, 1 for hot and 1 for cold)
2. water drain (one "washing machine drain hose")
3. electric outlet (one 110 volt outlet - if the washing machine is a 220 volt (the prongs will be much bigger) then you'll need to run a new wall outlet - but usually they're 110v)
if the hoses didn't come with the washer, go to an home improvement store. they only sell one standard size which fits all washers.
1. connect the water intake hoses to washer and the faucets. turn on the water. if there's a leak, tighten the hose some more but do not force too much - instead use teflon tape to seal the leaks.
2. connect the drain hose to the washer, and the outlet goes into an either laundry sink or directly into the drain system. it should be on secure as when the water starts to drain the hose will move, and you don't want it coming loose and draining water all over the floor.
3. plug in the electric.
run a small load and look for leaks and listen for unusual noises. you may have to level the machine if it's off balance during the spin cycle. there are 4 little "feet" in the bottom of the washer that go up and down when you turn it with a wrench, they're there to level the machine.
The installation manual should tell you how to do that.
