If someone wanted to give you their $50 coupon they would need you to tell them what kind it was. Was it a rebate on something you bought? Was it a store coupon published in newspaper or magazine? Was in it the store circular you got in the mail?

Try calling the store. Some are very loose and will just say "Come in we have a whole stack of them on the counter here" or "Come in we can credit that anyway." Otherwise look on the website for that product and see if the same coupon is there.
