How much plywood is needed to build a small treehouse and how much would it cost at Home Depot?

Question:I want to build a clubhouse in my backyard.

Answers:
Wow, such an open ended question here. How big will the tree house be would be the most helpful information, but since i dont have that it will take 3-20 sheets. Good Luck

measure space & calculate sq feet
Hard to imagine less than 7 or 8 sheets at about $15/sheet for thinnest sheathing grade
Plywood comes in sheets that measure 4 feet x 8 feet, or 32 square feet. According to your calculations you have about 315 feet to cover.

Divide 315 x 32 = 9.8 sheets of plywood.
Divide 145 x 32 = 4.5 sheets of plywood.

You don't give the dimensions of the floors, walls, or celing. You need to allow for a little excess when you cut your panels to fit.
it's pretty difficult to figure a price.you aren't going to use 1/4" plywood i hope. unless it's going to float in the air you're going to need 2x6s or 2x8s for the floor frame, nails or lag bolts to mount them to the tree. 2x4s for the framing, nails to hold the plywood to the framing, etc. what about a roof. i think you are a little short on information for anyone to give you a price. do a little more measuring and figuring first. then take your list estimate to your store and they will be happy to give you a price.
Need to know how big of a "small" tree-house you want to build.
