Where can I find a piece of hardware -?

Question:I'm trying to find a piece w/out having to fab some up myself:

it's basically a "port-hole" sealer - old style

it's a T-shaped pivot with the long part of the "T" threaded, the two "T" arms inserted into a pivot allowing a +/-180 degree motion of the long part of the "T" with the two "T" arms as the pivot point - they usually come with a wing-nut type thing

the long arm of the "T" swings up to nestle in a cut-out of some sort, pinning the hinge mechanism, and anything it's attached to (port-hole) closer as the wing-nut is tightened around the hasp

it's hard for me to describe - but if you've seen port-holes you'll probably know what i'm talking about

i'd like to find some of those closures that i can weld onto other mechanisms - is there a vendor of those type of things anyone knows about?

we're talking mild steel for these - not brass or bronze or boat-finish - it's for a heavy duty application, not boating

but I know port-holes have'em
:D

Have you tried searching using the term "dog"

You might also check barrel bolts and their applications, they are very similiar to the port hole bolts but might be enough different to be useful
